Full time in a 25' 31' RV.

Niland is just a few square blocks with a general store, a gas station, a laundromat with machines that seldom work and the Buckshot Deli. The first season I went to the Buckshot as often as I could get a ride. If it was cool enough I rode my bike. Nice breakfast for about $8. Now Barbara and I go in once a week or so.

Niland used to be more of an agricultural center when cotton then tomatoes were grown here. Now most of the town buildings are empty or burned out.

The Niland Fair Grounds has an RV dump and water. Some of the store fronts have been burnt out, much of the rest have for rent signs.

We support local business when we can.

The bank building had shops and of course a bank before the buyers started buying tomatoes from Mexico.

Even though the tomato packing plant is gone they still have the Tomato Festival with a parade and carnival.

Slab people make up more than half of the parade. We usually walk off with quite a few trophies as well.

Below are entries by the Range, East Jesus and Pish from the LoWs wearing a ballon dress for which she won the trophy for most creative.
